Shared Proxy

A proxy IP used by multiple customers at the same time. Cheaper than private, with reputation shaped by everyone using it.

A shared proxy is an IP that is used by several customers simultaneously. The provider can sell the IP to multiple users at once, which drops the per-IP cost substantially — typically a third of comparable private pricing.

The tradeoff is reputation. The IP’s history reflects everyone who uses it. If another customer ran a heavy operation against a target site yesterday, that site may rate-limit traffic from the IP today even if your traffic is polite.

Shared proxies are economical for workloads that tolerate noisy neighbors: bulk SEO and SERP monitoring, link verification, public-data scraping at scale, large-catalog crawls. For anything where each request needs a clean IP (account creation, ticketing, anti-bot heavy sites), pick private instead.
