Sticky Session

A proxy configuration that keeps the same IP for a session or fixed window, so multi-step workflows finish from one IP.

A sticky session is a proxy configuration that pins the same source IP for the duration of a logical session — either a fixed time window (1 minute, 10 minutes, etc.) or until a specific session ID is released. The point is to keep multi-step workflows on the same IP from start to finish.

Sticky sessions matter for workflows where mid-flow IP changes break things: shopping cart checkout (adding to cart on one IP, checking out on another fails), logged-in browsing (session cookies tied to original IP), multi-step form submission, OAuth flows. Anything that needs continuity across multiple requests.

EZProxies plans use static IPs by default, which gives you the stickiest possible sessions (each IP stays the same indefinitely). For workloads that need both rotation AND sticky sessions, you can manage that client-side by holding the same IP for a session then rotating between sessions.
